Drug Uses
Methotrexate is used for treatment of ertain types of cancer, severe psoriasis, or rheumatoid arthritis in certain patients. It can be used alone or with other drugs. It may also be used for other situations as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Use Methotrexate as prescribed by your doctor. Use Methotrexate with or without a meal. However, you should take it the same way each time in relation to food. It is recommended to drink extra fluids while taking Methotrexate. It can take several weeks for your symptoms to improve. Do not stop taking Methotrexate without checking with with your physician. Methotrexate works best if each dosage is taken at the scheduled time.

Methotrexate may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Methotrexate is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Methotrexate with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you react to this product. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor.
